Moss Control
It is now the time to be planning in moss control with winters end just around the corner.
Moss most commonly thrives in areas of shaded, compacted, poorly drained soils which may lay wet for longer periods, and soils which are slightly acidic with a ph level around 5.5.
If not treated, moss can be strong competition for grass which can impact your grass yields for hay and grazing.
We can treat the moss with a non chemical spray application around late February in to March, we then Harrow and aerate in March to help oxygenate and pull dead thatch out.
Mole draining in the autumn is also a well proven method, keep a look out for our mole draining blog.
