10 years of Paddock & Garden Services
Good morning,
First of all, we would like to thank you all for your support in helping us achieve a fantastic milestone of 10 years in business.
With hedge cutting coming to a close at the end of this month, after a busy season, and ahead of bird nesting season, it is time to start thinking about booking in your required paddock services for Spring 2025!
Please ask for a pricing plan for this year, and please remember to send your requirements well in advance for planning.
Due to logistics, and the ever-growing pressure on our road networks, it is becoming apparent that some areas will be subject to reduced services and potential additional transportation costs. This will be discussed on an individual basis and costing agreed before any works are carried out.
Fertiliser orders - please ensure your fertiliser order reaches us by FRIDAY 7TH MARCH.
Rolling - you may have noticed this service is now POA. This is due to logistics/cost of transporting the equipment, as well as the ground structure impact. As discussed in previous newsletters, we are ever more conscious of the impact of compaction in our soil which suppresses root growth, in turn affecting grass yield, and rain water run-off including flooding. We understand the importance of repairing highly poached areas which may still require rolling, and these will be discussed on an individual basis.
Advice - it has become apparent this year where some clients are having bales delivered they are often being unloaded just inside the gateway, where possible please ask the supplier to roll the bale away from the gateway as failure to do so is leading to even more pressure on the access and egress point of the paddock. This in turn impacts the entry point for our, or anyone else's vehicular access, when the paddock is ready to be worked. As well as further impacting soil erosion and potential soil structural damage.
